Imagine what it would feel like to get a glimpse or peak into your little kiddo’s world?
What if there was an easy way to build a stronger relationship with your child?
What is you could feel more connected to your child and your child to you?
SPECIAL PLAY TIME is my prescription.
Special Play Time is a set amount time which can be 5-10 minutes a day/week where a parent is fully present and committed to spending with their child and on the child’s turf. A time where both child and parent can let go of the need to be a certain roles such as the disciplinarian or the rebellious child. A time where there are no expectations of the parent or child and both can just be themselves. The parent can be fully present as the child’s allow their parent into their special world and can communicate their needs and feelings.
I feel so special and honored as a play therapist that I get to see children through their eyes and I get to be a part of what they are expressing and experiencing. Children need unstructured play time to explore things that are going on in the inside of them and children also need a supportive adult to help them through this process. We know that children communicate through play and what better way to reconnect with your child then in their own language.
