Anthea is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 10 years experience working with children and adults on a variety of presenting symptoms. Anthea received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her masters degree in Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and Louisiana.
Anthea’s education and professional experience have prepared her to provide both individual and group therapy with children, adolescents/teens and adults. She has experience working with issues such as abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, relationship/family concerns, self-esteem, trauma. Anthea brings her vast knowledge she has learned through her work in a variety of settings to Kid Talk. Anthea has training in play therapy and is working towards obtaining her Registered Play Therapist certification.
Anthea believes in providing a safe, non-judgmental space where each client is given the opportunity to explore real life experiences and express their thoughts and feelings even through the language of play.
